The to be constructed high-speed rail system will travel from Los Angeles to San Francisco at 220 miles per hour. The state of California has accepted $179 million dollars from the Federal Government to start the funding of this project that is estimated to cost $2.9+ billion to construct. The California High-Speed Rail Authority is seeking local California companies interested in becoming vendors, at all levels.
