Governor Brown Plans to Shut Down Redevelopment Agencies

Plans to settle the budge have failed once again. The budget deficit, once $26.6 billion, is now $15.4 billion. One of Governor Browns ideas is to gain money by increasing taxes. Now not only is Brown pushing tax measures, but also other significant parts of his budget plan, including eliminating redevelopment agencies and enterprise zones, remain unsettled as of April 3rd 2011.
