SB 392 passed state legislators and will allow the CSLB to approve LLC’s (limited liability company) for a contractor’s license. However, don’t for a second be fooled, this bill was all about money. Now that the law has passed, the CSLB is sure to have found a new way to get fees from persons whom already have a license and want to apply for the new LLC license (cha-ching). In addition, there are fairly strict insurance requirements that are only placed on the new LLC licenses, so do your homework before applying for this one!
