BuildersNotebook has partnered with PlanSwift Takeoff & Estimating Software.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger signed a bill that will allow the construction of a new 75,000 seat stadium in City of Industry. The developer, Majestic Realty Co. hopes to lure teams like San Diego Chargers, Oakland Raiders and the San Francisco 49ers to the Los Angeles area.

Officials state that construction of this new stadium will create approximately 18,000 new jobs and $762 million in revenue.

In accordance with the State’s Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Commission, the City of Lancaster is inviting all interested licensed contractors to submit their firm for inclusion on our Agency’s list of qualified bidders for calendar year 2010. Even if your firm has been previously submitted, you must resubmit to be included for the next year.

Each State has stimulus money allocated to them for different things, California’s share of the stimulus package is approximately $80 Billion. A good majority of this funding is allocated towards Health & Welfare programs for our citizens. Within this allocation is maintenance, upgrades, and new construction of, streets, wastewater treatment projects, and buildings.

All grants are being funded by the Federal Government, and the money is given to the State (Departments thereof) inwhich other agencies must apply for funding through the grant process.
